What it does that a score pad doesn't
A pad adds numbers. This applies the bid: made or set, minus the bid, the moon, points on defense, and who goes out when both sides pass the target on the same hand. Under every hand it writes the rule it used, so nobody argues about the arithmetic.
House rules differ from table to table, so each game starts from a named preset (pagat.com and the other sources are linked on each page) and every rule they disagree on is a setting you can see and change.
Questions people ask
Which games does it keep score for?
Pitch and its relatives (Setback, 10-point and 13-point Pitch, Smear, Cinch or Double Pedro, call your partner), Bid Euchre and Pepper, Kaiser and Bid Whist. Each has its own page with presets for the common variants.
Our house rules are different. Can it follow them?
Yes. Start from the closest preset, then open Rules for this game. The target, bids, the moon, scoring on defense, no-trump doubling and the going-out rule are all settings. Changing one during a game works out every total again.
Can I fix a hand I scored wrong?
Tap Fix under the hand, correct it and save. Every total after it is worked out again. Undo steps back through your last changes, and it survives a reload.
Is the game saved if my phone locks or the tab closes?
Yes. Every tap is saved on this device, including a hand you are halfway through entering. Several games are kept, and a removed game stays in a list so you can bring it back.
Can I print a score sheet?
Yes, on Letter or A4. Print the filled sheet of a game, with the rule that applied under each hand, or a blank sheet for your variant with its rules printed at the top.
